With the gradual increase in steel production, people have higher requirements for the accuracy of product analysis and testing results. When testing steel products, it is necessary to use a direct reading spectrometer for testing work. However, in the specific testing process, due to the influence of excitation light sources and experimental object components, the test results often have a certain degree of error.

Reasons for errors in detecting stainless steel composition using a direct reading spectrometer:

In the process of using a direct reading spectrometer to detect the composition of stainless steel, there is a problem where the same measurement personnel use the same measurement method and instrument to perform multiple tests on the same sample, but the test results cannot be guaranteed to be exactly the same. In this case, it can be seen that the generation of detection errors is inevitable, and there are many reasons for the generation of errors. The main reasons for this are as follows:

1. The instability of the excitation light source and the lack of clear boundaries between the evaporation or excitation of stainless steel during detection are almost synchronous processes, which can have a certain degree of impact on the detection results.

2. The object of detection has an impact on the detection results. During the detection process, it is not appropriate to use only one detection condition to analyze the composition of stainless steel, such as analyzing the working conditions of steel, which is not suitable for analyzing non-ferrous metals.

3. The purity of argon gas can cause errors in the detection results.

4. The content of alloying elements in stainless steel is relatively high, which makes the analysis of the content of non-metallic elements inaccurate.

5. The electrode contamination on the operating table leads to a high content of alloy elements, resulting in unreasonable detection results.
